CPD - Legal Requirements

NSW Fair Trading requires that all licensed builders undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year as a condition of licence renewal.

In summary, all licensed builders are required by law to earn 12 CPD Points in each 12 month period, and builders who hold a three year licence will have to demonstrate that they have earned 36 CPD Points in that three year period.

A failure to comply with CPD will most likely result in your builder’s licence being suspended or cancelled by NSW Fair Trading.
